History of World Trade Week
In 1935, President Franklin D. Roosevelt officially proclaimed the third week of May World Trade Week, in national observance of the importance of international trade to the United States.
Florida World Trade Month
Under the leadership of the World Trade Center Miami, Florida Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise Florida, Inc. and the World Trade Week Committee, in 2019 the original week long observance grew to a month long celebration with over 20 events held throughout the state of Florida.
Miami World Trade Month
Today, Miami World Trade Month brings together over 2,000 business executives during May to celebrate international trade. The Committee has developed a series of events designed to assist small and medium size companies to enter the international trade arena, expand their business and identify new clients. The ultimate objective is to promote Miami and Florida as the “Trade & Logistics Hub of the Americas.”
